Inspiring people to greater depths of strength physically, spiritually and creatively is my main goal.
Each person has a purpose,
gifts, talents and tremendous value.
My inspiration comes often from seeing people do
"their God-given thing"
which is the spirit of what I try to capture in my paintings ~
momentary revelations of God's creativity.
Music is a major influence in my art work.
I have painted a number of musicians who inspire me.
My deep love of music, lyrics and the power of its movements, inspires me to paint. I started painting live in the late 1990s, thanks to the late, Denny Dent, who blew me away when I watched him wildly paint Eric Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix and John Lennon, during a short medley of their songs.
It's a powerful medium.
As I watched him paint, I felt called to do this kind of art as a method of teaching, inspiring people to live life to the fullest and to express my love of Christ.
Live painting attracts attention.
My reward is to see that someone was moved by the experience.
Everyone has a unique thumbprint. Like a blue print for who you were created to be. Even though no one can play basketball like Michael Jordan, did you know he can't swim?
Students were in awe of the fact that...
Maybe they could do something even Michael Jordan can't do!
Inspiring children and adults to embrace the gifts and talents they have
and seeing the light that comes to their eyes when they realize that they are like no one else in the world, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I also volunteer as a art teacher for Triple Threat Mentoring, which offers under- resourced students growth in Academics, Athletics and Arts. TripleThreat.org
